SENSE OF THE BOARD RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING THE CHILD CARE LEARNING CENTERS

ON ITS 100^TH ANNIVERSARY

WHEREAS, since 1902 the Child Care Learning Centers has provided all families with the highest quality early childhood education and care programs to help all children and their families succeed; and

WHEREAS, the Child Care Learning Centers strives to allow parents the opportunity to achieve true financial and vocational self-sufficiency; and

WHEREAS, the Child Care Learning Centers serves approximately 1,200 children aged birth to five out of twenty-five facilities in our area; and

WHEREAS, the Child Care Learning Centers combines early childhood programs, Head Start, Early Head Start, Even Start, School Readiness, day care and child care, with the strongest program of comprehensive services offered in the region, including nutrition, health, parent involvement, and literacy; and

WHEREAS, the Child Care Learning Centers has a dedicated staff of 270 teachers, assistants, administrators, nutritionists, nurses, members and facilities people as well as a Board of Directors.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the 26^th Board of Representatives goes on record congratulating the Child Care Learning Centers on the occasion of its 100^th anniversary and wishes them 100 additional years of excellent service to the residents of Stamford and their families.
