SENSE-OF-THE-BOARD RESOLUTION

THANKING DENA DIORIO FOR HER

SERVICE TO THE CITY OF STAMFORD

 

            WHEREAS, Ms. Diorio began her service as Director of the Office of Policy & Management of the City of Stamford on October 29, 1998; and

 

            WHEREAS, Ms. Diorio was responsible for establishing the Office of Policy & Management and has done so in an exemplary manner, creating an efficient and highly professional department; and

 

            WHEREAS, Ms. Diorio improved the City’s annual Budget Book to allow elected officials and the general public a better understanding of the City’s finances; and

 

            WHEREAS, Dena Diorio worked well with both city personnel and elected officials, despite having the responsibility of delivering bad news vis-ŕ-vis budget problems; and

 

            WHEREAS, Dena Diorio was always well prepared at her attendance before the Board of Representatives’ Fiscal Committee meetings enduring intense questioning with a professional and pleasant demeanor; and

 

            WHEREAS, Dena Diorio has been the hearbeat behind the success of the Office of Policy & Management, and her influence will remain for many years in the future.

 

      NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the 26th Board of Representatives of the City of Stamford wishes Dena Diorio much success in her new endeavor; and

 

            BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the 26th Board of Representatives extends its gratitude to Dena Dioro for her dedicated service to the City of Stamford.
