SENSE-OF-THE-BOARD
RESOLUTION
CONGRATULATING THE
TRINITY CATHOLIC GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM ON
WINNING THE CIAC CLASS S STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
WHEREAS,
the Trinity Catholic High School Girls’ Basketball Team is known as the
Crusaders; and
WHEREAS, the 2001-2002
Trinity Catholic High Girls’ Basketball Team had an overall record of
twenty-six wins and two losses; and
WHEREAS, the Trinity Catholic
High Girls’ Basketball Team won the City of Stamford Championship, and the
FCIAC Championship; and
WHEREAS,
under the leadership of Coach Tom Kriz, Assistant Coaches Patrick Cole,
Mary Ann O’Leary and Kelly Fox, and
Captain Lynnae Nizzardo, the Trinity Catholic Girls Basketball Team succeeded
in winning the 2002 CIAC Class S State Championship defeating St. Bernard,
Academy of the Holy Family, Tourtelotte Memorial, Old Lyme, and Warnogo; and
WHEREAS,
Amanda Pape was named MVP of the FCIAC Tournament, Whitney Edwards was named
MVP of the ICAC Championship and other season accomplishments were achieved by
players Alisha Collins, Casey Sorbara and Courtney O’Leary.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the 26th Board of Representatives of the
City of Stamford that it congratulates the Trinity Catholic High School Girls’
Basketball Team on its achievement; and
be it further resolved that
the 26th Board of Representatives honors those players, coaches and
parents who supported the team and helped to make this achievement possible.
