Housing/Social Services/Community Development Committee
The HCD-SS Committee has primary responsibility for allocating and approving annual Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME funds. In addition, the HCD-SS Committee:
- provides on-going review of CDBG funds and approval of adjustments to budget, as necessary;
- oversees city’s affordable housing initiatives and recommend ordinances relating to same;
- monitors Hope VI grants
- acts as liaison between the City and Stamford Housing Authority, New Neighborhoods and other affordable housing entities
- allocates and approves annual Neighborhood Assistance Act grant funds.
Typical Meeting Date: The third Tuesday of the month
