2011 John Boccuzzi Park at Southfield Naming Ceremony

On November 7, 2011, the Board of Representatives held a Ceremony formally renaming Southfield Park the John Boccuzzi Park at Southfield.

	President Skigen welcomed everyone to the ceremony.
	Mayor Pavia said a few words ...
	Second District Representative Elaine Mitchell spoke of her shared years of service on the Board with John.
	John, the long time majority of the Board, was good friends with Gabe DeLuca, the minority leader of the Board.  Gabe shared many stories of their shared service.
	Clerk of the Board Annie Summerville spoke of her many years serving with John Boccuzzi.
	Long time friend Dante Fedeli spoke of John's military service and his love for his faith, community, and family.
	Glenda Blume spoke on behalf of the Waterside Coalition.
	John's grandson, Jeff Boccuzzi, spoke of how fitting this honor is for his grandfather.
