The HCD-SS Committee has primary responsibility for allocating and approving annual Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME funds. In addition, the HCD-SS Committee:
- Provides on-going review of CDBG funds and approval of adjustments to budget, as necessary
- Oversees city’s affordable housing initiatives and recommend ordinances relating to same
- Monitors Hope VI grants
- Acts as liaison between the City and Stamford Housing Authority, New Neighborhoods and other affordable housing entities
- Allocates and approves annual Neighborhood Assistance Act grant funds.
